Signs Etc has a comprehensive safety plan in place, staff are inducted and trained in the procedures. We are proud of our safety record, having recorded no lost time injuries since the inception of the Company in 1987.

Environment

As a responsible corporate citizen, Signs Etc is aware of its responsibility to care for the environment. From a practical point of view the activity most likely to impact on the environment is painting. Consequently we have installed an up to date spray booth to ensure that there are no environmental emissions. Solvents are recycled

Occupational Health and Safety Policy.

It is Signs Etc’s policy that positive action shall be taken at all times and by all employees to ensure safe working on all of the company’s sites, and in all its offices and workshops. This will be achieved by the following:

Fostering an awareness of occupational health and safety to ensure dedication and persistence to achieve the goal.

Instituting a continuous program of education and training.

Maintaining adequate records and promoting investigation and feedback of information to aid the improvement of accident prevention.

Ensuring that all supervisory personnel, including subcontractors, accept responsibility for the prevention of accidents to people, plant, machines and vehicles under their control.

Providing mechanical and physical safe guards in keeping with regulations and recognised standards.

Ensuring that all employees, including subcontractors, comply with safety rules.

Providing relevant training such that all employees are better able to recognise, understand and apply the necessary controls to the hazards related to their jobs.

Promptly and completely investigating, correcting and reporting all accidents, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.

Recognising the importance of rehabilitation processes to injured employee’s personal and family life, Signs Etc management in concert with the appropriate authorities and rehabilitation providers is committed to en-sure that any injured staff are returned to suitable work as soon as is possible.
